Chances are, if you see this, then you’ve probably seen the Ruffneck Bass video as well. Once again, this is all in good fun. Wizards in Winter – DIY light show controller with Vixen and Arduino

Just in time for Christmas 2011. Using a new Arduino Mega and a from-scratch 28 relay board. Enjoy! My setup is Vixen software outputting to the generic serial driver which feeds to my Arduino. The Arduino takes the serial signal and breaks that into pins, which then triggers the relay board. The relay board interrupts a homemade power strip. This is my first animated Christmas lights display. I have just over 30000 lights controlled by 32 channels of Light-o-rama controllers. The song is Wizards in Winter by Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It’s used a lot but its a good, fast-paced song for showing off the display. Video Rating: 4 / 5
